BloombergNEF, which provides energy research and information, predicts that the cost of EV high voltage batteries will continue to come down in the near future. They predict that by 2025 the cost of the battery will only be about 20% of the cost of the entire vehicle. They also believe that even sooner, by 2022, EVs will become the cheaper option for car buyers. As a percentage of the cost of the vehicle, the price of high voltage batteries is dropping – in 2015 the battery cost amounted to 57% of the entire vehicle price, while this year it is down to 33% of the vehicle cost. Least and Most Recalled Cars iSeeCars.com just released their review of the 2013-2017 model years of vehicles that sold at least 50,000 units. They used the NHTSA’s (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration) database to look for recall data. Four of the five least recalled cars are among the models we work on: Hyundai Accent Toyota Corolla Honda Civic Honda CR-V The only model we work on that made the top 5 most-recalled list is the Nissan Pathfinder. So if you drive a Pathfinder, do make sure to bring it in for a checkup. If we find repairs are required – we will let you know if those problems are subject of a recall – if a recall has been issued, you will be able to take your vehicle to a dealer and get it fixed free of charge

Pat's Garage has been a San Francisco service and repair shop for Scion since it first appeared in 2003. Scion 2016 is the last in the product line. In an interview, a spokesman for Toyota said that the decision was not taken lightly. Many industry analysts suspect that low gasoline prices were a big reason for the decision - Scion was built with fuel economy in mind. As the price of gasoline fell, so did the sales of Scion.
