I found Pat's Garage through reading consumer reviews on the "Car Talk" website. Pat's garage has taken good care of my 1991 Honda Civic (now retired) over the years, and I have always felt treated with respect and top-notch, trustworthy professionalism. Prior to finding Pat's I had tried three or four other garages where I was worried if I was being overcharged or talked into unnecessary repairs, and I didn't understand what was being done to my car or I felt talked down to, perhaps for being female. None of these problems happened during the decade I took my car to Pat's for tune-ups or repairs. They are consistently exceptional.

Always such nice people at Pat's and so accommodating. So fast too! A pleasure dealing with them.

As always Pat's Garage takes care of my car, and me, with respect, good work and good sense. Pat's Garage is one of the reasons I bought my *first* car at age 32, as they were the shop use by my carpool buddy. I was so impressed with their un-stereotypical presentation (no girlie posters), the retro vibe, and my friend's satisfaction, that I wanted a car too! In fact I asked them if they knew of a starter car for me and one of their customers was selling hers. Boom done. 20 years later, Pat's Garage continues to be a stand up shop. Highly recommend.

I've been taking my Hondas to Pat's Garage for nearly 25 years. Their services are easy to schedule and my car is always done on time. The team has been OUTSTANDING in keeping me informed with options as my many Hondas have aged, as well as keeping them running smoothly.

Took my car in for a quick tune up one day before leaving for a road trip in a massive storm. My car needed more work than anticipated or had left time for. Despite a busy garage, and what would have been a multi-day job, They expedited the service and managed to pull off the repairs and the car ready at closing time that same day. He (Augie?) made sure every detail down to the windshield wiper blades was in the best shape possible for the conditions. I can't recommend them highly enough! Their concern for their customers, honesty, professionalism, and fair pricing, ensure that next time my car needs something - I'm coming here.I would have no hesitation recommending them others. Thanks for keeping me safe on the road!

Excellent experience. I was in and out within an hour, and I know they were busy from the phone conversations I overheard! Everyone I met was friendly and personable. Thanks!

I had an easy, friendly, fast experience when I took my Prius to Pat's for service and tires. They got me on the road in a timely manner and my car drove great! I love their knowledge of 'green cars' and their willingness to teach me a few tricks for better efficiency..

Technically tops, customer-focused, these SF Click & Clack Car Guys are like care managers for my 14 - year-old Honda, keeping it in tip-top condition -- and me more confident in my now Classic wheels.Yes they may be more expensive, according to consumer surveys. But, the habit of ongoing and timely maintenance that underlies their service -- from classics to latest sleek computer boxes -- pays off richly by lessoning the odds of avoidable breakdowns -- and provides a support system that you will deeply appreciate when the inevitable happens. Cool & Helpful factors:1) the expertise in electric cars; also, I learned they hire bright men and women who have received sound mechanical and tech training2) empowering customers, women as well as men, by explaining car situations with clarity and prioritizing care options so we can make informed decisions -- short- and longer-term3) best practices suggestions for every day use so we customers can make a major impact on our car health, wallets ... and peace of mind4) plugged in to a San Francisco - wide network of experts, from body shops, to best STAR smog certifers, to radio/audio specialists, etc5) suggestions for nearby cafs/restaurants, if you would like to wait -- if the car does not need to be left; suggestions for taxi/rides, public transit, or best rental car services6) postcard reminders for maintenanceWhether by phone or when I drive/walk in the door -- I always feel welcome and taken care of. Because I neither live nor work in this neighborhood (China Basin, near SF Giants ballpark and UCSF/Mission Bay), the accommodation made for my schedule -- as much as possible at this popular garage -- is very appreciated. And it's nice to meet other customers as they check in, are welcomed warmly, given an initial guesstimate RE timing/cost (and arrangement to call for updates) with efficient checkin/diagnosis, sent on their way.Check out their excellent website, often including a service and/or new customer coupon.
