I live in Dogpatch so having a professional and courteous car servicing company within walking distance is a great convenience. This time I had to take my car in for an engine check issue. It was easy to set up an appointment on-line. Problem was identified and staff advised me on what exactly needed to be fixed now and what would be prudent to do but could be deferred safely as I have budget constraints. Car was then serviced and I picked it up at the end of the day. Couldn't be happier with my experience.

Great as usual

I went to the Honda dealer in San Francisco and was given a list of 4 items that needed to be fixed with a total quote of over $2,000. One of which was the brakes, and when I told them I didn't want to perform the service, they cautioned me that my brakes "could drop out" if it wasn't replaced and that it should be addressed immediately. At Pat's garage, they reviewed the quote provided by the dealer, advised that my brakes were NOT in any way a danger, and completed all of the necessary work -- only ONE of the items from the original quote -- for about 1/4 the dealer quoted price. Very honest, fair, and transparent. Will happily bring my car back to them anytime.

Today, I called and spoke with Robert about an issue with my car. The suggestion he made was the one that was best for me. Although I have not (yet) personally gone to Action Auto Care, I highly recommend them based on this experience.
